The change of the school's name from Castle High School to St James Academy will be reflected in the school uniform for the 2018-19 academic year. So that we can ensure all learners from all year groups have the appropriate uniform, Dudley Academies Trust  has entered into an agreement with A Oakes Ltd school uniform supplier, based at 30 Churchill Shopping Centre, Dudley, DY2 7BL to provide every learner FREE of CHARGE with a school blazer and tie. The other items you will need for uniform are detailed in the Expe ctations for Uniform leaflet which can be downloaded below. They are not included in the free offer but are easy to find in many retailers. Along with the free blazer and tie, your child will be expected to wear black trousers or skirts and a white shirt. This will be the uniform they are required to wear from September onwards so please do make sure you find the time to collect these.

To obtain the free of charge items you will need to take your unique reference form (mailed out to all parents) to the supplier to redeem this offer. Please note details of PE Kits will be provided by the school in due course.

As you will appreciate this offer represents a considerable investment by Dudley Academies Trust as the wearing of appropriate uniform is a key part of our behaviour policy. The policy seeks to ensure there are the highest standards across all schools.  We believe fostering high standards in personal appearance plays a vital part in ensuring our learners have the right attitude to their education so that they can flourish in all they do. We trust that you will welcome the approach we are taking and will support us in this matter.

If you have any questions regarding this information please contact the school on 01384 816045.

We look forward to working with you and your child for what promises to be a very exciting new academic year for the Trust and its schools.
